Parth Gupta is a photographer based out of New Delhi, India. Photography, for him, started as a naive act of taking images of clouds from his father’s cell phone in his early teens. But he considers his earliest connection to visual imagery with the family albums at his home. He often traces back to the innocence of the images in the album, today, to engross himself in a moment and to understand his emotions.

Parth has studied at the Pathshala South Asian Media Institute, Dhaka, Bangladesh and the Raghu Rai Center for Photography, Gurgaon, Haryana, India. He has worked alongside the Magnum Photographer, Raghu Rai, as an Assistant Editor for the Creative Image Magazine, New Delhi, India and also as a Photography Assistant at the Caravan Magazine, New Delhi, India.

Currently, Parth is focusing on his personal projects, which consist of interrogative documentary stories and documenting his life in between projects through his own visual poetic understanding.

With photography, he wishes to make images, which serve as a memento of time passed, spaces discovered and people met. A photograph that is an experience to the viewer and evokes certain emotions that stays with them.
